“I have learned to be thankful because I know that my God is in control”
– Rosa Zoghbi
How many times in your life your dreams have shattered before your eyes?
We live our lives full of expectations and dreams, and the reality is, most of the times those dreams are not the plans The Lord has for us.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
Even when a dream might seem like everything we ever hoped for, only a close relationship with God and time will reveal the heart of it. At the end of the day, if the dream vanishes before our eyes, I have learned to be thankful, because I know that my God is in control of every situation and His plans are good for me.
When your dreams die before you, it is ok to feel sad, but don’t stay there, instead fix your eyes on God’s promises and love, understanding that sometimes in order for God’s dreams to come to life, some of our own dreams have to die.
It is my prayer for you that The Lord gives you the vision to see what He has prepared for you: a future filled with hope that will bring you closer to Him as He gives life to the dreams He has placed in your heart.
